We meet with clients all the time about search engine marketing. Some that can not even find their website by typing their company name into a Google search box. As you know, almost everyone uses search engines to search for what they need... what if what they are looking for is something you provide... you need for them to be able to find you. GET FOUND WITH SEARCH ENGINE MARKETING (SEO)
If you plan to obtain new customers online, we need to properly prepare your web site for search engine indexing and robots. I would recommend a SEO program and social media participation. This is an ongoing effort that may include development of reciprocal link partners, HTML work, content development, directory submissions, online media (sponsor ad) buys, paid inclusion, online PR and much more.

SEARCH ENGINE MARKETING - In most cases, the two main website marketing pushes would be:

1. "Natural Listings"

2. "Online Ad & Sponsorship Buys".

There are many more like social media, blogging, white papers, a link swap program with non-competitive companies and institutions in your industry and online PR as well that you guys may consider, for now, I will address the two.

1. Natural Listings: (wide, left column in search engine results - a longer term program)

I highly recommend a two step approach to:
STEP ONE: SEO diagnostics on your site vs. your top 5 competitors (or who I find as the top 5 on searches)
I would spend a couple of hours looking into the big picture and send you back a report. This lets you and I both know what kind of shape you are in and points to areas of attack.

STEP TWO: Use the information form Step One above, PLUS:
- Keyword and content consultation, HTML work (FTP address, username and password required). This includes suggestions of additional content, xml site map and submission, robot text, directory submittal and much more. The results from this work can take 4, 6 and even 9 months to start showing results - co be patient.

2. Online Ad/Sponsorship Buy: (narrow right column in search engines - position on first page hours after campaign set-up) (Recommend a maintenance program of at least one hour per month to monitor and adjust ad campaigns)

I recommend starting with Google and then exploring other search engines PPC plans later. Setting up an account for the text/sponsored ads could help you gain instant exposure to thousands, even millions in some categories.

One time set up fee includes:

  • Initial Google Account Set-up: setting up an account with your credit card
  • Set up online media buy, pay per click (PPC) in Google's Sponsored ad area.
  • Consultation for key words and key phrases. Research into those key words and key phrases.
  • Campaign Set-up - usually two or more to cover different aspects or approaches
  • Keyword Set-up and Bidding - Set daily budget, bid on key word terms. Can be adjusted throughout the campaign and can be pulled at anytime.

Example: You could start with a $2-$3 per day budget on the Google ad buy. That is an average per month of $60.00-$90.00. I will set this all up using your credit card. I will bill you the $80 + $60 at the end of each month for the ad buy and ongoing SEO fee to monitor this and making adjustments to your web site and or developing link partners - all of which enhance your web site's SEO visibility. Your ad simply disappears each day after your budget has been meet or exceeded, reappearing the next day after midnight.

Remember, there are no guarantees that folks will click on your ads or that you will be #1 (first position) in Google's Sponsor ad area. Your ads will appear under the keywords we agreed upon until that daily budget is reached, they will all disappear until the next day if that amount is reached.

Advertising your web site on Google and other popular search engines. We would like to start with Google, the world’s most popular search engine.

It is flexible and affordable because:
a) You only pay when your ad is clicked
b) You decide how much you wish to pay per click
c) You set a daily budget
d) You can advertise to specific regions only

It is a great return on investment, as many advertising networks charge you for displaying your ad on a web page, even if it is never clicked or seen. With Google advertising, you only pay when someone reads your ad, likes what they see, and comes to your site. Google’s click through rate is five times higher than the industry standard. Your ads are also shown on AOL, Ask.com, and Earthlink.

It works like this: Help us come up with a short text advertisement and choose search phrases under which you want the ad to come up. You set a daily budget so you don’t spend more than you want to. When the set amount is reached, your ad will stop displaying until the next day. If the set amount is not reached, you only pay for the clickthroughs your ad has generated.

Cost-per-click (CPC) is negotiable. We will investigate the playing field and research how to top or at least compete well with your competitors.
