Thanks for the opportunity to present my ideas of how to work with your web site to improve its performance with the major search engines (SEO). 

This is a preliminary overview, we will need to talk (or write) further to understand your goals and your ideas on the "KEYWORDS & KEY PHRASES" you are interested in capturing. 

Unfortunately, there can NOT be a guarantee of position, nor if we succeed in gaining a "great spot" that it will last indefinitely. Companies that do claim guaranteed placement are falsely advertising or will work unethically, using tricks and spam techniques that will eventually cause you URL to get black listed. Your site is in a "crowded category" so it will be a fight to effect change.

I will need to review your entire site's HTML encoding to see that it follows proper HTML structure will aid the "robots" from search engines to successfully navigate your pages and index them. 

I have found it is best to disclose our findings up front and give you ideas on how we would work towards improvement.

STEPS

• Get to know the company, their overall marketing goals, their target audience and their existing website
• Current Web site evaluation
• Competitive analysis that determines whether your competitors have optimized their sites
• Create new outline with page additions and eliminations
• Work with client draft of text and possibly a professional copywriter for new rich text

OTHER SUGGESTED POSSIBILITIES

• Link exchange program
• Paid inclusion and manual submission to search engines
• PPC campaigns on Google and Overture (which covers YAHOO and MSN and others)
  

To provide you with an estimate, I would, of course need to meet with a client in person or conference call to get a better understanding of your web site and your goals.

A sample story of my SEO work for another client:
One of my clients - a clinic for the treatment of Varicose & Spider Veins - hired me to do some initial and monthly SEO work for them. 
They were no where to be found in any of the major search engines and had major competition with Vein Clinics of GA, Emory and DermAtlanta - not to mention portal sites like CallaDoctor.com and LocateADoc.com. They really only emphasized Google as the one to work towards.
I spent some time talking to them and in the end "varicose veins atlanta" and "spider veins atlanta" was their top two requests for a search phrase. I had them on the first page in MSN pretty quick, but with lots of work and re-writing content (a group effort) - after a year - I have them on the first page of natural listings on Google with those two terms - their Holy Grail.
